The first key stage of school welcomes children from Early Years into the Primary School and encourages each child to continue their development and maintain the fun, active approach to learning. This stage builds on Early Years and Key Stage 1 foundations, preparing children for the next phase of their education. English is taught daily, emphasizing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, while mathematics development includes practical, mental, and applied aspects. In Years 5 and 6, students can choose between continuing their Asian language studies or opting for French or Spanish as part of our World Languages program. Homework is assigned to reinforce school-taught skills and engage parents in their children's education.

Our Key Stage 5 program (Year 12 & Year 13) enables students to select from a wide range of globally recognized subjects, facilitating their progression to universities worldwide. Year 12 students initially choose four subjects, with the option to reduce to three in Year 13. At GIS, we promote sports for a healthy life, with our 'GIS Dragons' excelling in inter-school and regional competitions across a diverse range of sports. As a member of AIMS, FOBISIA, and SEASAC, we provide abundant opportunities for competition. Also, our GISKL Sports Academy, open to all students, and various sporting options ensure that every student can get involved.
Our Dragons Sports Teams include: Football, basketball, swimming, rugby, touch rugby, cross country, netball, athletics, t-ball, tennis, golf, and badminton.
